Welcome to the latest stimulating installation in our continuing series of Mystery Cigar Reviews. Today's episode features the inimitable Sebastien Decoppet of Cavalier Genève Cigars. Sebastien is originally from Geneva but spent his early 20s in Danli, Honduras, where he learned the intricacies of premium cigar blending from some of the most talented and experienced people in the industry while working in a number of premium cigar factories, building his virtuosity until he could launch his own brand. His choice of cigar for Shane, Truett, and me to identify should be an experience to remember. Will we prevail in our quest for discovery, or will Sebastien surprise and perplex us with a cigar beyond our expertise? What is The Mystery Cigar Review?
For those unfamiliar with this little game, each month one member of our team — or sometimes an honored guest Inquisitor — selects a tobacco for us to review in a blind taste-test. Then we gather around the camera, scratch our heads, and smoke, all while attempting to guess the mysterious mixture's components, origins, and, when we're lucky, its name. There's only one rule: There are no rules.
