Pipesmoking Desktop Backgrounds: January 2020
A month or two ago, we decided to revive an old Daily Reader project and share some of our more lifestyle-focused banners and images with you all in the form of high-resolution desktop and mobile backgrounds. We weren't quite sure what to expect, as we hadn't done anything like this for years. The response was overwhelming positive — so positive, in fact, that we're bringing back the series for good.
At the beginning of every month, for the foreseeable future, we'll compile our favorite shots and artwork to share with you. We start today with six unique images, split between desktop and mobile orientations and available for download in two high-resolution formats. They're ready for you to use however you'd like. Feel free to download and set them as your desktop or phone background, or print them out and hang 'em on your wall.

Thank you for publishing these; I really appreciate it.
Love the Peterson silver cap shown on the January calendar.
Would you be able to let us know the model number? I have searched online and am unable to find the same Peterson pipe bent, sandblasted, apple shaped, with the silver cap.
Thanks!
John,
I believe that was one of the SmokingPipes.com special edition 20th anniversary. They only made 80 total and I think only 10 of those were silver caps. They are all sold. The stock number of the (XL02) which I think is the one pictured, is #002-029-47464. There was another smaller size Apple (03) it was #002-029-47469. If you search those numbers at smokingpipes.com, you can see those pips. You can search the shape numbers and come up with a list of all of the Peterson pipes in those shapes in all finishes that they have. Just search (03) or (XL02) including the parentheses. I know this won’t get your “calendar” pipe, but maybe something close, although silver caps are kinda scarce.
Thanks for sharing! I enjoy using on my cellphone!
Beautiful pictures- tasteful and serene. Class never goes out of style!
Thanks for the new January wallpaper for my surface pro.
These photos are so Zen. They are sublime, beautiful, inspiring, and they trigger my p.a.d.(a real thing). Thank you for sharing!
It is now February first 2020, my desktop looks silly with the January calendar. Thanks
@Paul Dorion We'll have the February desktop up very soon! We're glad to hear that they are being enjoyed!
