Top 10 Trending Cigars
With summertime and BBQ season in full swing, many of you might be thinking about smoking some cigars. They're great companions for grilling out and warm summer days. But which should you choose? Well, much like our Top 10 Trending Bulk Tobaccos, we've compiled a list of our current, best-selling stogies. So without further ado, here are our top 10 trending cigars at Smokingpipes.com.
A great medium-body alternative to Rocky Patel's knock-your-socks-off "The Edge" stogie, The Edge Lite offers the same great taste with a more subtle kick, as the Connecticut Shade wrapper tames the strength of the cigar.
It's not all that surprising to find so many Arturo Fuente offerings on this list, as it's one of our most popular cigar brands — and for good reason too. Arturo Fuente cigars cover four generations of tradition, crafting each stick with love and pride. The Flor Fina Maduro features a Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper for a bold, satisfying smoke.
Another Arturo Fuente stogie, the Brevas Royal Natural carries the same bold cedar and peppery flavors as many of their other lines, with a more nuanced, subtle kick due to the Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. As is the case with all A. Fuente cigars, the construction is spot on as well.
The Perdomo Habano line is an interesting one, composed of a special blend created from cuban-seed tobaccos grown in three different regions of Nicaragua. In this Habano Connecticut, for example, you'll get the full flavor from tobaccos grown in Esteli, that aromatic quality from those grown in Condega, and a bit of natural sweetness from those grown in the Jalapa Valley.
Not every good cigar needs to be a two-hour smoke. With Arturo Fuente's Hemingway Short Story, you get all the flavor and sweetness of the Hemingway line in a more convenient package. One of my personal favorite cigars, it might not be as full-bodied and complex as some Maduro or Corojo sticks, but it's an easy smoke that just hits the spot everytime.
Another smaller stogie from Arturo Fuente's Hemingway line, the Best Seller is a great choice for pipe smokers looking to try their palate at cigars. The Camaroon wrapper and Dominican binder and filler make for an easy smoke, with a touch more complexity at the beginning due to its broad, tapering foot.
Aged for a minimum of two and a half years, Padron cigars offer exceptional quality and value. If you're looking for a bold, full-bodied Maduro, with a touch more complexity than some of your other nicotine powerhouses, the 6000 is a great choice — it did come in at number 4, did it not?
Easily one of the best selling miniature cigars in our store (and everywhere), these Excalibur Cigarillos come in handy during a drive or whenever the craving for a cigar comes up. While great for a quick smoke, if you take your time, these cigarillos will still burn for 10-15 minutes!
With the same solid construction and premium tobaccos found in the original Excalibur Cigarillos, these miniatures are great for when you're craving a high-quality cigar but don't feel up to a full stogie-length smoke. Each tin comes with 20 of these even smaller sticks — perfect for summer smokes outdoors. I should know; I keep a tin in my bag all the time.
The Reserva Real line is one of the most popular series of cigars in any humidor. Medium bodied and mild in flavor, it's not surprising to find this stogie at the top of our list. With subtle hints of cinnamon and a balanced flavor profile, the Reserva Real Toro is sure to please, composed of a Connecticut Shade Ecuadorian wrapper and a Nicaraguan binder, filled with only the choicest leaves from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.
Much like our Top 10 Trending Bulk Tobaccos list, this assortment changes from day to day depending on cigar trends and promotions. So be sure to check back from time to time to see what others are smoking! Don't see your favorite on the list? Feel free to share your stogies of choice in the comments section below!
