About This Cigar

A celebration of Macanudo's rich history, the 1968 line commemorates the brand's founding date and presents one of Macanudo's boldest blends. Dominican tobaccos are paired to Nicaraguan leaf from Ometepe — a volcanic island in Lake Nicaragua known for its rich, fertile soil esteemed by cigar makers. Before being enveloped in a Honduran San Agustín wrapper, the filler blend is first aged in charred wooden barrels to intensify the leaves' natural flavors. Marked by notes of espresso, pepper, and slight anise, Macanudo's 1968 is a cigar that doesn't disappoint and continues the brand's legacy.
