About This Pipe Tobacco

Manufactured in a century-old brick building in picturesque Lauenburg, Germany, Dan pipe tobacco has gained quite a worldwide reputation among smokers, with a wide variety of blends and cuts on offer. Andreas Mund became the successor in charge of production when master blender Jürgen Westphal retired, and is assisted by Heiko Behrens as well as Michael Apitz of Dan Pipe.

Named for the 18th century Norwegian nobleman and naval officer Peter Tordenskjold "Thunder Shield," Tordenskjold Virginia Slices is a medium-bodied tobacco blend comprising Virginias and Perique, all pressed and cut into delicate flakes.

The flavor profile is sweet and light with some savory notes along the way.
Two ticks under medium power level.
I enjoy this as a mid day bowl or when I want to enjoy a lot of flavor without a heavy nicotine hit.
The blend is well balanced, burns cool with few relights, smooth with no bite.
This is one of the few Virginia blends with no bite and all the good flavors.

If you like peterson navy Deluxe rolls or presbyterian ordained- this is straight up your alley. The to note is absolutely amazing. Lighting it up after a year of cellering is extremely good. I can't imagine how this will taste and smell after a few more years of cellering. You can tell as soon as you light it, that is extreme quality. Please do not buy them all.
