About This Pipe
Mustache logo on the top of the stem aside, there is no way that if someone held this pipe up from across a room that I would have answered "Caminetto". For starters, an educated guess would place the smooth Caminetto at only roughly 10% of the production that hits the US. Next, what few smooth Caminetto canadians I have seen really emphasize a flat oval shank, as well as a highly elongated run to the same. The crosscut grain on the front and back of the bowl is pretty good, but that same grain on the top of the shank is downright formidable. I have very little doubt that you will be happy with the birdseye.
