About This Pipe
Joao Reis is a young (roughly thirty years old) carver out of Lisbon, Portugal, and has studied with the likes of Kai Nielsen, Jorgen Nielsen, Poul Ilsted, and Tom Eltang. Judging from this immaculate canadian, one of the hardest shapes to create strictly by hand, the lessons have paid off in spades. The shaping is superb and there is a wonderful obsession with detail here.
