About This Pipe
This is a very interesting meerschaum sculpture, from the legendary Ismail Ozel. The face is distinctly Asiatic, but the hat suggests a more Western bent (as in Occidental, not John Wayne). This pipe is unsmoked, a very solid sitter, and features a delrin tenon and mortise insert, something that is considerably advanced, for a meerschaum carved in the mid seventies.
