About This Pipe
The grandson of a Hungarian pipemaker (he himself emigrated to Canada in his early twenties), Julius Vesz is known for his use of "dead root" briar, meaning briar which has died and dried out in the wild long before being harvested, which is believed to give pipes uniquely cool and smooth smoking qualities. This handsome canadian, with its long shank, looks as if it would be a perfect use of such rare material.
