About This Pipe
This a bit of a rarity from Claudio's work bench. I might bump into a volcano once, maybe twice in a hundred Cavicchi pipes. Claudio's approach to the shape is unfailingly intuitive, symmetrical and conservative, with just enough flare to the base to draw the eye in that direction. While mentioning the grain on a Cavicchi is akin to noting the jaw strength of a pit bull, when a CCCCC is in play, the grain is always the 800lb gorilla in the room. And with a supernaturally tight straight grain circumnavigating all three hundred and sixty degrees of this bowl, this gorilla flexes a ton of muscle.
