The devil is in the details, and so is the difference between "quite good" and "absolutely gorgeous" as well. And when it comes to this slim, supple Asteriou take on the bent Acorn, the details are all there, from the easy, natural contours of the bowl, to the novel treatment of the rolling, folding rim, to the tiny teardrop nick he shaped into the transition to match and smoothly continue a miniscule dimple found in the bamboo. This is, quite simply, the work of an artisan possessing not only great skill, but some serious dedication to living up its possibilities as well.
