About This Pipe
Though we are, as of this pipe, only up to Il Duca number 121 to have graced the Smokingpipes.com website, I think at this point I've seen more olivewood designs come from Massimiliano Rimensi than any other pipemaker. He seems to show as much variety in materials as he does in shaping, and as this perfectly chubby little apple shows, he really knows how to work with this particular medium. The flowing grain and smokey variations in color work perfectly with this compact, curvy form in the vertical orientation he chose here, not to mention the beautiful concentric display centered on the front of the bowl.
