About This Pipe
While admiring the classic, compact profile of this Cumberland 4111, take a gander at the astonishing grain on the left of the bowl! To my mind Dunhill's 11 lovat is one of their weirder ducks, the traditional ratios of the shank (proper) length being at least a multiple of 1.5 the height of the bowl is never observed (though that doesn't ever seem to hurt sales in the least). In addition, Dunhill designates the presence of a saddle bit with a 2 in the second position, and yet they invariably place "111" after the Group designation. Perhaps Dunhill doesn't regard a bit this short as a saddle.?
