About This Pipe
Yes, I struggle a bit with titling this pipe as a rhodesian. A bead delineating bowl from rim does not, necessarily a rhodesian make. Still, when I hold it, there does seem to be some rhodesian sensibility about it. The grain, while subtle, is quite nice; straight grain that covers about two hundred and seventy degrees of the bowl below the rim, the other ninety degrees is birdseye. I have always loved the application of horn on a mount, and this pipe does nothing to change that preference.
