Now the third time we've seen from American carver Pete Prevost his appropriately named Long Shank Sitter, this offering is basically the same model as those before it; a Dublin-Chimney hybrid of a bowl, cut at angle along the foot, wedded to an agile looking, lengthy, swooping shank. This example is beautifully grained, especially along its right side, showing a fair bit of flame grain all the while as it climbs from shank to bowl. And I really love Pete's choice to finish the piece with a bit of cumberland, as its tone and pattern plays well against the finish of the briar.
