About This Pipe
A curious combination of hearty, muscular proportions, and seamlessly smooth Danish lines, I'll admit this Ikebana presents a bit of challenge to describe. It really is a stoutly-built piece, yet we still find certain shaping cues, that long, continuous, up-lifting heel and a high-perched transition for example, that you would typically expect to see on a considerably more slender Danish classic. As if to intentionally draw attention this, the meaty shaping of the briar has been counterpointed with slim, gently tapered slip of a stem.
