On the whole, we really don't receive all that many sandblasted pipes from Tsuge. Personally, I think that they represent extraordinary value for the money: this is a top-notch Danish-Japanese style artisanal handmade pipe for less than $350. It's a little crass to lead with value for the money, but sometimes you can't help but think "that's one fine pipe for the money".
The bent brandy shape isn't really all that bent brandy-ish, not that there's a better shape category to push it into. From the top of the bowl, it's sort of eye-shaped, as it comes to a point, forming ridges on the front and back of the bowl (you can sort of see that going on in the bottom photo there: it's the sort of thing that isn't easily captured in photos). The blast is excellent and the countersunk stem perfectly complements the bowl.
