About This Pipe
This shape has been a mainstay for the Ikebana line from Tsuge for as long as I've been familiar with the brand and probably for far longer than that. Not surprisingly, it's also one of my favorite shapes from them. Undeniably Danish influenced, yet possessing just a hint of some sort of Eastern aesthetic influence, I love the aesthetic hybrid that has come to define this shape (and, indeed, so much of the Ikebana line from Tsuge). The grain presented here is quite impressive, with good straight grain covering the bowl and extending the length of the shank. The beautifully executed vulcanite saddle stem is the perfect complement to the rest of the composition.
