About This Pipe
If this Barontini-designed bent Brandy reminds you of a certain Ser Jacopo Picta van Gogh design, don't be surprised - that Picta was itself, after all, based on a pipe seen in a painting from the late 19th century. I couldn't tell you where this curious take on the Billiard/Brandy originated, though it does seem to crop up mainly in the Italian school these days. Vauen's take is the leanest and most sinuous one I can recall, its smooth lines and flowing grace accented by the aggressive point terminating the underside's "prow".
