Caldwell Cigars: The Special Stuff

A company built "by friends for friends," Caldwell Cigars is not your typical cigar brand. Drawing inspiration from hip hop imagery and aesthetics, the company and its founder Robert Caldwell seek to circumvent the typical hype and pomp commonly seen amongst makers of fine vitolas. Focusing on simply producing the finest quality product possible, using well-aged and rare tobaccos, Caldwell Cigar Company has been a nonstop creative force since its debut in 2008, releasing top-of-the-charts lines like Long Live The King, The King Is Dead, and Blind Man's Bluff. And with a range of limited edition releases, the Caldwell team is poised to lead the cigar industry to even greater heights. Here's a look at three of the latest special edition releases from the brand:

Caldwell Anastasia Cigars

One of the most unique smokes on the market, Caldwell's Anastasia is an extremely limited production cigar, comprised of rare, well-aged specialty tobaccos that Ernesto Perez-Carillo has acquired and saved over the years. Shrouded in mystery, the wrapper, binder, and filler are all undisclosed, but the flavor profile is intensely memorable, offering notes of malty caramel and creamy spice. There's a reason why Anastasia is Robert Caldwell's favorite cigar to date. Available in Caspia, Mercure, Kartel, and Opera vitolas.

Caldwell The Last Tsar Cigars

Made in the Dominican Republic following a closely guarded recipe known only to Robert Caldwell and his team, The Last Tsar is an insanely complex, full-bodied cigar fit for a king. Along with its secretive binder and filler blend, its unique Connecticut Brazilian Araparica maduro wrapper offers a rich, flavorful smoke redolent with notes of cedar, pepper, and creamy cocoa against bright citrusy highlights. Available in Corona Gorda, Churchill, Toro, and Belicoso vitolas.

Caldwell Savages Cigars

A limited edition extension of the the Long Live the King line, Caldwell's Savages features a Habano wrapper in place of the standard Criollo, offering a creamier, nuttier, and slightly lighter profile than its standard counterpart. Rounded out by a Dominican binder and a secret filler blend from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua, it's a memorable, all-day smoke you'll certainly want in your humidor. Available in Corona Extra, Super Rothschild, and Toro vitolas.

In addition to these awesome limited releases, our Caldwell lineup includes sought-after series like Blind Man's Bluff, Blind Man's Bluff Connecticut, and The T (a fantastic collaboration between Caldwell, Matt Booth and A.J. Fernandez). We also recently added new vitolas of the well-received The King is Dead and Long Live the King lines (including the maduro-wrapped Mad Mofo), the Eastern Standard Sungrown series, and so much more. He is doing well for a relative new company but he is a very long way offin leading the cigar industry in anything....AJ and many others would be smiling politely at that kind of notion...
