Cornell & Diehl's Mixture Monster
Last year, Cornell & Diehl broke ground with a completely different type of holiday blend — a mixture specifically designed around Halloween. Christmas-themed tobaccos? Why, there's a whole slew of them. But Halloween-themed blends? Mixture Monster was the first we'd ever seen. And this year, they've done it again.
Mixture Monster: The Blend
Continuing with the same recipe as last year, the blend itself is quite an appropriate mixture for the season, offering notes of chocolate, caramel, and apples with a fragrant candied corn aroma. Here's a short review from Calvin on this decadent treat:
"This blend, composed of Virginias, light and dark Cavendish, and a touch of white Burley for smoothness, is sure to put you in the mood for Halloween. A holiday only the most deranged of us can appreciate. A holiday that revels and reveres all that go bump in the night. This treat comes with a bit of caramel topping, a room note that reminds you of what it means to Trick or Treat, and comes in four of the creepiest tin designs you will find anywhere. Poltergeist, Phantom, Freak, and Fiend. Enjoy it. Fear it. But don't run from it, no matter how afraid you are."
Mixture Monster: The Artwork
As Calvin mentioned, much like last year, the tin art is just as evocative, presented in four different facings bearing iconic horror themes. With respect to last year's ghoulish designs, Cornell & Diehl took an even darker turn for this year's artwork, delivering some truly creepy images to match. One differing factor, however, is the tin size. Where last year's Mixture Monster was available in 2oz. tins, this year, they've brought back the cylindrical 3oz. tins — meaning a whole other ounce of tobacco.
Just to give you an idea of how C&D has taken this most unique of holiday mixtures and ran with it, here's a quick look at last year's art vs. this year's:

Mixture Monster II is available now on the site for all to try. But remember, much like last year, this blend maintains an extremely low production — meaning you'll need to act quickly if you want to add any of these terrifying tins to your collection!

Just ordered the Fiend tin cant wait to try this one! The golden days of yore is amazing
I had only managed to get one tin last year but absolutley enjoyed it while Trick or Treating with the kids. The moms that accompanied us loved the aroma and said it was very "Halloweeny". I am not hesitating this year and will have one of each tin to smoke and then display! Thanks again C&D!
