About This Pipe

With a very tiny annual production, Danish legend Poul Ilsted is known for his elegant designs and shaping and his meticulous attention to detail. Having said that, I will always call "a deuce a deuce" and this dublin doesn't show drilling that is what to what I have come to think of as Poul's standards. It doesn't pass the pipe cleaner test. The shape is both compact and imaginative, with a softly organic, undulating rim being anchored by a "four square" architectural shank and bit. The straight grain is heavenly, and the compound acrylic mount is deftly executed and striking.
