About This Pipe

Yes, though the country of manufacture is Denmark, this is the English brand. Dunhill and its associated brands (Harcourt, Parker etc) jumped on the Danish freehand bandwagon briefly in the very late 70's through early 80's. To use a US football metaphor, this was kind of like the defense reading the offense's play when the other side's halfback is doing a victory dance in the end zone. The "wild freehand" thing was pretty well played out by the time the Brits hit the scene with their entries. History aside, this Harcourt is an elegant and fascinating take on the genre, with both a superlative grain, and intriguing rim work.
