About This Pipe

1929; Popeye made his debut and the darkness of the Great Depression began. 1929 was also the year that this cased set of Dunhill Patent Shell Briars were produced. The very fact that these pipe are available is a bit of a shocker, often Patent sets are passed down, generation to generation, or as bequests to younger friends. A greater shock, still, is the most remarkable condition of both pipes. Now they aren't perfect (Do note that the Dublin has been topped and features a replacement stem), but I certainly hope I look this good at eighty.
