About This Pipe

As far as Upshall pipes go, this threw me curve ball. The design of this pipe, with the double shank, rusticated bottom, and stem junction, look, to me, more Italian than English. While that is by no means a bad thing, it sure is different. Come to think of it, I never have seen any shank extensions on an Upshall piece, so only now can I assume the company utilizes briar in place of bamboo, horn, or other materials. The bowl is pure Upshall, with it's slight lines, grain pattern and uniform coloring. This is a treat for collectors of Upshall.
