About This Pipe

I know what you are going to ask. When some of the stamping has been sanded off of the shank, how do we know it dates to the 1960's? Well, a customer sent in a batch of pipes all dating from the same period, and a couple had replacement stems, so we are comfortable roughly dating this piece. It's a shame that the original stem was either broken or lost, but the replacement is rather good. The grain is crazy-nice, and might have been a root or *-grade today; seriously!
