About This Pipe
The deeply-carved finish and stem and mount combination are undoubtedly very Italian. The shape underlying everything here strikes me as out-and-out Danish, with a fine taper to the flares shank, a smooth, upward-lifting transition, and a high-set, tall and softly contoured style of Brandy bowl. Aside from making for a lovely profile, that Danish approach to bowl/transition also allows for a deeper chamber - something certainly also found here.
