Castello Tobacco Pipe

Though the birdseye along the flanks is a bit scattered, the band of flame-grain running down this Rhodesian's center-line is quite fine, and, overall, I have to say I just really like the shaping. It's typical for individual Castello pipes within a certain shape number to vary, as the marque allows their artisans plenty of leeway when it comes to tweaking lines, relative proportions, and overall scale. In this case they've produced a smooth, poised, but still quite masculine rendition of the traditional shape, with a deep-chambered, high-set bowl perched on a distinctly "Castello" style of gracefully tapered, yet substantial oval shank.
