Castello Collection Bent Billiard (F) (KKK) Tobacco Pipe

Well, aside from being very handsome, this Castello Collection KKK is both an interesting and older fellow. Given the emphasis (and wisely so) on the magnificent birdseye and crosscut grain, this pipe would have been titled as a "Collection Occio di Pernice", if it had been produced 1980 or later and the absence of the "bound for the US" Castello diamond tells us that this pipe was originally slated for the European market. The "F" threw me for a second, but a bit of research shows that the appearance of smaller letters (such as F,S and V) was simply an expeditious means of identifying the merchant/distributor that that a given pipe was intended for. Still, what this pipe boils down to is a well cared for, vintage Castello Collection of lovely grain. The rest of that is just stuff to bore your pals with (like I just bored you ;)).
