About This Pipe
Take a look at this handsome, unsmoked Castello Trademark bent dublin, with sterling mount. If that grain doesn't exactly strike you as "smooth entry level", you would be far from alone. The thing is that the Trademark, apart from some other smooth Castello grades, has always been something of a "trade-off" or hybrid ranking. If a pipe might have what we would normally consider as fine "Castello" Grade grain, but Castello feels the pipe is on the small side, they often will downgrade the grade (and, of course, the price) into a Trademark range. Having that out of the way, I don't see anything close to a trade-off going on here. The size is fine, and the only thing that I see that reflects a Trademark is the stain.
