About This Pipe
A dark finish coats a form of deep rustication I'm not familiar with; it's somewhat like what I typically think of as the "Italian" type, the sort you see on Ser Jacopos, Cavicchis, etc., but with extra gouging and a final smoothing-down. The overall effect is more chaotic and rugged, but quite interesting in both look and feel.
