About This Pipe
Well, rub me in bear fat and toss me in the frozen lake! When I first picked up this numbingly handsome Il Ceppo I though I might have been holding one of Luigi Viprati's Fiamattas. While I have never found a compressed panel that has induced a state of hand ecstasy, elongated panels do provide an excellent means of showing off a potent grain. Having said that.what an incredible grain! Tight and straight enough to make the angel's weep, this grain covers all 360 degrees of the bowl and sweeps down the sides of the shank as well. This thoroughbred is right close to mint!
