About This Pipe

Do you collect Butera pipes? Do you collect J.T Cooke pipes? This is a bit of both. Mike Butera's briars are among the most sought after on the market, and we may be lucky enough to come across a few in a year (if someone decides to part with them in the first place - not likely). Decidedly Italian in form and influence, with Mike's unique curing and finishing techniques, this tall pot has it going on. Something happened to the original stem along the way, but a hand-cut replacement was made by another very talented and collectible North American artisan --J.T.Cooke. Having two great makers names on a pipe (Cooke marks around the tenon on a repair), this pipe may be even more rare than an unaltered pipe by either man.
