Rad Davis Sandblast Bent Brandy (2006) (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe

Crafted in the neighborhood of three years ago and still unsmoked (the previous owner of this pipe is clearly made of far more disciplined stuff than I am), this superb bent brandy manages to capture so many of the elements that I love about Rad's work. American Wizard Rad Davis always creates a pipe of impeccable engineering, immaculate fit and finish that underlies undeniable style and sophistication. In the case of this humongous, wonderfully chubby bent brandy, we can add "charming, in the extreme". The bowl is one of the larger ones that I have seen from Rad, and is delightfully spherical. Rad pairs up that bowl scintillating compound of acrylic, cocobolo, and a dapper cumberland bit.
