About This Pipe

The volcano is one of the lesser seen shapes in Todd's repertoire (indeed, this is only the 4th that I have encountered), and this pipe is also one of the more organic pieces I have seen from the American master. The chimney of the volcano is compositionally slender, and shows a subtle bias from right to left. The grain revealed by the sandblast is almost supernatural in its perfection.
