Micoli Meerschaum Spot Carved Freehand (with Box) (1975) Tobacco Pipe

If there ever was a source of controversy over the work of a carver in the pipe world, Micoli's name would be near the head of the list. Though I never met Micoli. I have seen posts from his son, Ryan, before, and he says his dad gets an enormous kick that his pipes are still talked about. The pipe before you is rather conservative for the carver (do I look like I am kidding?). As far as what the shape reminds me of? Well, last night I caught the movie "Tremors" with Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward (looks and shudders).
