Smooth Bent Dublin Tobacco Pipe

While I agree that bent dublin would be a proper classification for this stunning pipe, the almost "Rolando" reverse taper and swoop of the shank towards the bowl and the subtlest of points at the heel contribute a fair sense of the acorn to the composition. As nice as the grain may look in the pictures, this is one of those pipes where the grain is far more compelling in person. Tight, and never really thickening enough to where I would consider using "flame" as a descriptive, these lovely, vertical striations circumnavigate all 360 degrees of the bowl, with zero wash to be found. Adam makes perfect use of plateau on the rim and mount; enough presence to add the vitality of nature, but conservative enough to not distract from the beautiful form. Finishing with some of the best bit work that you are likely to encounter.
