About This Pipe

This is the first tomato that I have seen from Yankee wunderkind Jeff Gracik and, I must admit, it fascinates the heck out of me. Often, between a compositionally dominating bowl and shorter shank/bit, tomatoes come off as "compact". See any "compact" here? No sir. While the clean, elongated lines and pinching of the shank remind me (a tad) of Paolo Becker, the rim, shank to bowl transition and bit are so "Jeff" that the composition leaves me with the feeling that I have encountered an entirely different interpretation of the shape. Lovely!
