About This Pipe
A long, notably trim execution of the classic straight Billiard, this Ashton Old Church presents a particularly lovely take on the old English standard, producing a profile with a rather feminine beauty to it, thanks to the smooth transition, softly-curved heel, and the pert posture and lean proportions of the bowl. This wouldn't be entirely unusual in the Danish school, but it is a surprise to see in English briar, given that the English straight Billiard is typically of quite a masculine theme.
