About This Pipe
I have a very soft spot for this shape from Castello. I'm not entirely sure why, to be honest. I do like the sweeping lines of the stem and shank, the striking verticality of the bowl and the comfortable looking (and feeling) bowl shape. Lars Ivarsson once told me that pipes should be cuddled like a hamster and that they should be shaped with that in mind; perhaps that's part of the attraction for me to this pipe: the egg shape is eminently cuddle-able.
