About This Pipe
Of course, I saw the double bead and wanted to call it a rhodesian. Then again, every time I hear the William Tell Overture, I yell "Hi Ho Silver, Away!" (shrugs). While I am not thrilled with calling this one a billiard either, it's about as close as I can pound a round peg into a square hole. The execution is Italian, with at least a broad wink towards the Pesaro school (Mastro has long created a similar shape) and the placement of the briar button is novel, in and of itself. At a fast glance most suppose the button rests flush against an acrylic mount, the mount is actually about a half an inch distal.
