About This Pipe
The shaping of this one reminds me a bit of the highly architectural approach that Peter Matzhold brings to the form, fused with hints of Italian style (the subtle cross ridge on the fore of the rim, per example). Resplendent with cross cut grain, and a birdseye that boasts a contrast and size that might make a tiger's eye pattern look a bit pinpoint, this is something very different from Cavicchi, AND it comes in at Claudio's entry level price point for a smooth finish. This is one fugu that you shouldn't let get away.
