About This Pipe
Perhaps to the general pipe smoker, one sees a bamboo-stemmed briar and the result is to often overlook the bowl. When you work amongst an uncountable number of pipes five days a week, it is quite easy to do the reverse; ignore the stem, inspect the bowl first. You've seen, after all, who knows how many bamboo-stemmed pipes, despite their relative rarity. Thus it is in immediately looking over the gorgeous bowl on this birdseye-resplendent "CCCCC" Cavicchi freehand that I very nearly over looked what is perhaps one of the finest pieces of bamboo I've yet seen. Pale, creamy, as smooth as porcelain; knowing Claudio's dedication to quality, none of this was left to mere chance.
