About This Pipe
Digging back through our archives, I couldn't find a single other Dublin by Claudio which featured a rim execution like that seen here - i.e. flat-topped, with a bead just beneath. In fact, I only noticed one single other with such a bead at all, a piece featuring a domed, Calabash-style rim. The combination of the shaved-down rim profile and the precise, sharp bead seen here really emphasizes a more solid look, to my eye at least, lending this robust briar, covered over with exceptional, and dense birdseye and flame grain, a refined yet masculine look.
