About This Pipe
This is one of the first few pipes we've seen from Greek carver Chris Asteriou, and the only one that's rusticated in finish. This up and comer has positively got a knack for detail. So it's a classically styled Liverpool with a silver band; so what? Just check out the mouthpiece. Notice how carefully chamfered is the tenon, or how even is the button, or how flush and square is its slotting. And it's a small stem at that. The pipe is perfectly visually balanced from front to back and perfectly symmetrical from left to right. These are simple details indeed, but hallmarks nonetheless of a carver talented beyond his experience.
