About This Pipe
One of the many things that I love about Max Rimensi, is the manner in which that he can shift between radically differing aesthetics, always with the seemingly effortless manner of a 6-4-3 double play initiated by Ozzie Smith. The pipe I described, prior to this one, was a bamboo-apple that exuded an organic spontaneity that reminded me of some of the finer Japanese carvers. This is a splendid "English" canadian, graced by a fine grain, robed in a delightful bengal stain, and then finished with a cumberland bit. I started to remark about Max being as versatile in his carving, as Deion Sanders was at athletics.but I kinda beat the sports metaphor thing to death in the opening paragraph.
