Shell Briar (6124) (2012) Tobacco Pipe

The Foursquare, being defined as a paneled Billiard with a squared-off shank, is not the most common of shape variations. Though it might seem a quite simple arrangement of line and form, I suspect that it is, like so many simplified expressions of art, all the more easier to get wrong due to the greater importance and influence of the individual elements upon the whole. Of course, as a natural sitter, it also has a pretty attractive utilitarian element, too, and this big Group 6 rendition (one of only a very few we've ever had in Group 6) doesn't lack in ring grain, despite having slipped out of the Dunhill shop with just the standard Shell Briar stamping.
