This Tubos is a bit of a mix between the initial rendition of the Tubos idea we saw for the first time a few years ago (and have continued to see since) and Tom's latest version of the pipe. The biggest difference you'll find here is the presence of a calabash style mortise, which is designed to collect moisture in a well before the push mount stem, the result of which ought to be a drier, and thus cooler, smoke. Recently, these newer calabash Tubos' have featured longer shanks with rather short (proportionally speaking) stems, while this piece is setup more like the original shape, what with the longer mouthpiece, and a shank that's nearly equidistant in length to the heel of the bowl as the bowl's rim is to the heel.
