Just like one of Tom Eltang's ordinarily handy-dandy, especially useful, amusingly shaped Tubos, this piece is particularly special on account of its curiously long shank. It's not just for looks, mind you, it explains the very nature of the design. That's right, remove the stem and voilà; a calabash style mortise. This means that not only will the pipe smoke like a champ on the basis of its superior tobacco chamber dynamics, it's sure to offer a cooler, drier smoke, as the cavernous mortise is ideal for accumulating the unwanted moisture that results from tobacco combustion. It's offered here in a charming sandblasted finish.
