About This Pipe
Honestly, my favorite of the most recent batch of new pipes from Danish pipe maker Tom Eltang, this Lumberman is simply perfectly composed. The proportions are spot on, from the size and visual weight of the bowl, to the length and width of the ovular shank, all the way down to the terrifically clean and carefully executed saddle stem. Flawless to behold and splendid in the hand, as an additional bonus, this piece boasts an outstanding pattern of flame grain and a simply immaculate display of speckled birdseye across the bowl's rim, down the pipe's shank, and in particular, along the underside of the piece. This should please any discerning pipe man.
